Farid Rahimi
Farid Rahimi (Lausanne, 1974) lives between Milan and Rome. Through the use of different media, from video to painting, from drawing to photography, his research expresses a constant interest in the landscape as a mental place of experimentation. The attempt to carry out experiments, as well as the sensation of suspension when contemplating an image, are elements that often return in paintings, drawings, videos, and sounds. Every single work, in fact, could be an attempt to focus on a landscape, to fix a detail: natural, urban, and emotional.
Rahimi exhibited his works in solo exhibitions at the Galleria Zero in 2006, and at the Galleria Fabio Tiboni in 2009. He has also participated in several collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad such as: Canvases as Places, Palazzo Adorni, Capriolo (Brescia) (2023); Breath/Respiro, Vicenza (2010); FUORICLASSE, GAM – Gallery of Modern Art, Milan (2012); Emerging Talents – New Italian Art, Strozzina Contemporary Culture Center, Palazzo Strozzi Foundation, Florence (2009); The Motionless Event. Enchantments, Gavoi (2008); Casa Masaccio, San Giovanni Valdarno (2008).
