Giovanni Campus. Tempo in processo. Rapporti misure connessioni. Percorso di lavoro 1955-2022. Disegni- riflessioni, edited by BUILDING, presents the fundamental role that the drawing process – a practice that has always accompanied the artist’s theoretical research as well as his everyday life – has played in Campus’ work from the 1950s to the present day.

Through the texts written by Francesco Tedeschi and the correspondence between the artist and Placido Cherchi, an Italian anthropologist and philosopher, the centrality that theoretical speculation and drawing have played in the Sardinian artist’s research is outlined: understood according to a humanistic and Renaissance conception, drawing makes the transformation of artistic thought into a concrete act possible.
