Yuval Avital – Il bestiario della terra

On Tuesday, June 6th 2023 at 6.30PM, at the Sala degli Specchi of Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia, the Reggio Parma Festival presents the volume “Il Bestiario della Terra”, published by Silvana Editoriale, that narrates the intense year of work of the artist in Reggio Emilia and Parma. The journalist Livia Savorelli, director of “Espoarte”, will be moderating the conversation between Yuval Avital and Marina Dacci, the volume’s curator.

Imagined as a kind of “visual atlas”, the publication is structured as a collection of images and texts that tells back to the reader “Il Bestiario della Terra”’s project, promoted by Reggio Parma Festival (the association is made up by Teatro Regio of Parma Foundation, Teatro Due Foundation, I Teatri di Reggio Emilia Foundation, and by the Municipality of the two cities in Emilia).

The volume highlights the continuity of some details of the artist’s research and poetry that are found in the project’s different chapters, in which the identity of the hosting place has always been pivotal for Avital: “working on the streets is not like working in the theatre, working in a museum is not like working in an empty historical space”.
