Chiara Dynys – L’ombra della luce

Light, first and foremost, and shadow, its antithetical counterpart understood as a mysterious projection, an invisible entity in the absence of brightness. These are the central themes of the exhibition “Chiara Dynys. L’ombra della luce” curated by Daniela Ferrari at Mart, Museo di arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto, on view from April 22nd to August 27th, 2023.

The exhibition, organised outside of the museum’s usual spaces, revolves around the signature themes in the artist’s poetic journey, which take on a great symbolic value in such venues.

The sculpture “Gold Shell” welcomes visitors to the museum’s square. This large, gleaming metal structure sketches the symbolic form typical of Dynys’ work in the air and gives substance to the idea of going beyond and passing through, a crucial theme in her poetics.
