Roberto Ciaccio. La poetica del silenzio

From November 10th 2023 until November 23rd 2023, BUILDING TERZO PIANO is pleased to present the exhibition La poetica del silenzio, which offers a selection of ten works on paper, ranging from the 1980s to the first decade of the 2000s, by artist Roberto Ciaccio.

The artist’s research is based on a constant analysis of time, which is in turn translated into its spatial character. The joint examination of the temporal and spatial dimensions is a prerogative of the artist’s modus operandi: it reveals how time is consubstantial with space and how spatiality pervades time. The artworks Preludes – Three Revenants, Annotations and Studies on display in the exhibition are examples of this accurate relationship between art, time, and form.

The exhibition takes place in conjunction with the donation of two artist’s books – Leçons de Ténèbres – Le Son des Ténèbres and Yves Bonnefoy – Roberto Ciaccio. Peintre, Mon Ami – from the Roberto Ciaccio Archive to the Braidense National Library in Milan. The two works on paper enrich the Library’s precious collection, where they seem to converse with the exceptional collection of ancient texts already present.
