BUILDING, in the center of Milan, is a space dedicated to art in its various forms of expression. Born in 2017 from the vision of Moshe Tabibnia, BUILDING, with its aim in constant development, follows a program focused on historical and contemporary artistic research, consisting of a weave of works and artists whose overall design will emerge over time.

Located at via Monte di Pietà 23, in a completely restored early 20th Century historic structure, BUILDING hosts three exhibition projects within its architecture that, throughout the year, present three independent programs: BUILDING GALLERY, the exhibition space inaugurated in 2017 that occupies the first three floors of the construction, and hosts the main exhibitions of the gallery’s annual program; BUILDING BOX, an year-long exhibition project inaugurated in 2018 and located within two of the street-facing windows of BUILDING, visible 24/7 and featuring works exhibited monthly, linked by a temporal thread; BUILDING TERZO PIANO, located on the third floor, is a space born in 2023 from the desire to explore creativity in all its facets, its identity will develop over time through an independent program.

The fourth floor, the ideal culmination of BUILDING’s architecture, houses the library, the beating heart of the gallery, primary source of research and in-depth analysis from the study center. It is the place that hosts a wide selection of catalogues raisonné, artist monographs, catalogs of contemporary art exhibitions, design, and architecture, which is constantly enriched through new acquisitions and generous donations from the artists, curators, foundations, and national and international institutions the gallery collaborates with. In this distinctive circular space, the works from the gallery’s collection are displayed on a rotating basis. The peculiar circular space that connotes the library, a place for meeting and planning centered on the large round central table, echoes BUILDING‘s own logo, a place where works from the gallery’s collection are featured in rotation.

BUILDING is also a publishing house, which, since 2017, has aimed to publish catalogs for the solo and group exhibitions it hosts.

The project BUILDING is grounded in a new concept of art gallery, free from limiting definitions, where culture and market progress in parallel. Its research includes not only established artists but also young protagonists of the international art scene, fostering intergenerational exchange and continuous cultural enrichment.
BUILDING is a guide and an invitation for all visitors to explore their personal journey within the dimension of Art.
