Paola Anziché
Paola Anziché (Milan, 1975) currently lives and works between Turin and Milan. A graduate of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and the Städelschule in Frankfurt, Germany, she is one of the winners of the Italian Council Ambito 3 – Edition 12 (2023/2024).
The artist explores the relationship between the practice and transmission of traditional weaving techniques and biodiversity through the use of natural fibres.
Her work has been exhibited in prestigious Italian and international institutions, including the Science Museum, MUSE in Trento, the Tashkeel Gallery in Dubai, the National Mountain Museum in Turin, the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in Florence, Turner Contemporary in Margate, England, the XXI International Triennial in Milan, Kichik QalArt in Yarat, Baku, Azerbaijan, the Remotti Foundation, Camogli; the GAM – Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Turin; the MAMbo – Museo d’Arte Moderna, Bologna; the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation, Turin, and Careof, Milan. She has participated in residency programmes in Portugal, Bolivia, Guatemala, Brazil, Azerbaijan, Finland, the United Arab Emirates, France, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
