Valerie Krause
Valerie Krause was born in 1976 in Krefeld. She now runs her own studio in Solingen. Her artistic practice is based on sculpture often accompanied by photography. For the artist it is extremely important the spatial concept of sculpture within the individual piece as well as in the interaction of several pieces. Working with a variety of media she often uses rough material, which she transforms into something delicate and poetic.

She is represented by galleries such as Greta Meert Brussels, Rolando Anselmi Rome/Berlin, Heinz Holtman Cologne and L21, Palma de Mallorca.
In addition to several awards that she has gained, her work is part of public collections like the contemporary art collection of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Konrad Adenauer Siftung in Italy and the Collection of NRW. For a long timeshe was based in Düsseldorf (apprenticeship as a stonemason with Fritz Meyerand studies at the Kunstakademie).
